ILoveMakonnen ‘Pink Nails’ – Album of The Year?

I’m lowkey obsessed with ILoveMakonnen’s new album ‘Pink Nails.’

Makonnen has been the least celebrated artist in hip hop lately, but with his latest album, it will be tough for the music industry to ignore him.

Makonnen Kamali Sheran, AKA ILoveMakonnen, had everybody that was tapped in “Up on a Tuesday” back in 2014 with his very successful single “Tuesday” featuring Drake and turned up to his single “I Don’t Sell Molly No More.” His musical style was a breath of fresh air back then and frankly still is.

ILoveMakonnen’s new album ‘Pink Nails’ was released on August 1st, 2023; it has his signature unique style and flows; he’s entirely in his bag with this one. With tracks like ‘Outside’ and ‘Hittin 3’s,’ he’s definitely staking his claim in the music industry that he’s here, and he can’t be fucked with. You can listen to the album straight through without skipping a track, not that there are many. His Pink Nails drop has a cute nine songs; it’s a 24-minute body of work; you will finish his project feeling like you got your entire life, hyped, and talkin’ ya shit. He has bars on the album that will have you chuckling, like “We outside like some motherfuxkin homeless” and “You bitches fucking stink, and you need febreze, you need to take a bath and brush your teeth, you really kinda ugly as far as I can see…”

Makonnen’s Pink Nails album is refreshing, amusing, and on point, not to mention it will have your gym workout so lit for all my gym junkies out there. 😊🏃🏾‍♀️🏋🏾‍♀️🏃🏾🏋🏾
